Product Description

Aleppo Mortadella is a cold cut with deep historical roots, tracing back to the crusader crossroads of what is now south-east Turkey and northern Syria. Ours is made using heritage British mutton from a primitive breed closely related to the sheep of that era.
Delicately spiced and handled with restraint, it’s crafted to honour a family recipe passed down from antiquity. This is not reinvention for novelty’s sake it’s respectful craftsmanship, connecting past and present through flavour, technique, and time.
Eco-Feed Rare Breeds exists to protect what matters: Britain’s landscape, its livestock heritage, and the flavour that comes from doing things properly. We work with rare and heritage breeds, including Soay and Boreray sheep both listed as At Risk by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust raising them the way nature intended.

As climate pressures and shrinking green spaces threaten traditional farming, these breeds face real danger of disappearing. Preserving them isn’t sentimentality; it’s responsibility.

By placing regenerative agriculture at the centre of our model, we give conservation a future that’s economically viable and environmentally sound. Our animals live slow lives, roaming pasture for up to four years. That time, care, and freedom translate directly into the meat: deeper flavour, better nutrition, and a clear reflection of animal wellbeing. The result is honest, high-quality foodaccessible, fairly priced, and vital to strengthening Britain’s domestic food security.

We also push the craft further, transforming our meats into charcuterie that celebrates not just exceptional livestock, but the farmers behind them. This is heritage made relevant, and tradition done justice.
